“In the mud of my mind,

I found 

A beam of starlight

That led me

to the great burning fire 

of my joy.

And there,

In the deep presence 

of my own passion,

I felt my whole being ignite

With a wonder

I had somehow lost 

along the way. 

There is so much of ourselves 

That is waiting 

In the soft call 

of our heart’s song - 

That beam of starlight

Beckoning,

That bright dust of hope.

I have wandered 

through this galaxy 

A million times 

Searching in the darkness

to find within myself 

Those unfamiliar places, 

Those starlit paths, 

That were waiting,

Just waiting 

for me 

to reach out 

and touch them.”
