“Some day

I will breathe a deep sigh

And thank the world

for all that has been brought

to my doorstep

But today, I have only space for flowers and sunshine and sweet kisses

and nothing that feels ordinary.

For the sorting of my heart and it’s challenges can wait

while I bathe long in the waters of tenderness and listen

to the birds chirping their song.

Today is not meant

for meeting the world

It is for

bowing to glory

And breathing in

the gold dust

that shines on everything.”
