“Watching flowers
opening
in the dewy morning
gives me hope
that there might
still be something
beautiful
to reach for.
The long days,
and their sad stories
crowd my heart with worry,
but these flowers
that always reach for light
have reminded me
that, I too,
might unearth some magic,
if only I should reach
to find it.”
