Fractured Forward -

Breaking apart can feel disorienting. What was once solid and dependable fractures and all that is left is empty space and pieces that no longer have a place.

But I have grown used to the solidity of my identity breaking down again and again.

Now, instead of the ominous fear that followed, I am accompanied by a sense of hope - hope for the emptiness and mess of fractured parts looking for cohesion.

I no longer feel afraid because I know that in the mess of uncertainty there is an opportunity. When the wholeness of who we think we are shatters, the chance to become something new emerges. When I am broken, the parts of me can form again as something entirely different, entirely more.

There is no growth without breakdown, no newness without uncertainty. Creation is a process of leaning into the emptiness and finding what is wanting to take form. And what takes form is always wildly grander than anything I could have imagined.
